Fevereiro roxo e laranja: qual a importância dessas campanhas?
O mês de fevereiro recebeu as cores roxo e laranja com o propósito de conscientizar a sociedade brasileira sobre Lupus, Mal de Alzheimer, Fibromialgia e Leucemia.
Mesmo atingindo um número significativo da população, muitas pessoas ainda não entendem as dificuldades vividas diariamente pelos pacientes que convivem com essas doenças graves.
O SINDSERV atento às campanhas de conscientização, alerta a população quanto aos riscos das doenças e esclarece o que significam as cores:
Fevereiro Roxo:
Fevereiro Roxo surge em 2014 para conscientizar a população em relação ao Lúpus, ao Alzheimer e a Fibromialgia. A campanha teve início em Uberlândia – MG, passando também a ser promovida por ONGs e pelo Governo Federal.
Ainda que tenham diferentes sintomas e tratamentos, as três doenças têm uma coisa em comum: o fato de não possuírem cura.
É por isso que a campanha Fevereiro Roxo enfatiza tanto, a importância do diagnóstico correto e precoce. Assim, o paciente tem acesso mais rápido a um tratamento eficaz que pode aumentar significativamente sua qualidade de vida.
Fevereiro Laranja:
O Laranja é a cor usada no mês de fevereiro para chamar atenção da população sobre a prevenção, diagnóstico e combate à leucemia(câncer que ocorre na formação das células sanguíneas, dificultando a capacidade do organismo de combater infecções), um tipo de câncer mais frequente entre crianças e adolescentes.
A estimativa do Instituto Nacional do Câncer (INCA) é que, entre 2023 e 2025, o Brasil tenha mais de 11 mil casos de Leucemia por ano. A informação pode ser encontrada no documento Estimativa 2023 – Incidência de Câncer no Brasil.
Assim, para conscientizar as pessoas sobre a doença e incentivar a doação de medula óssea, a Assembleia Legislativa de São Paulo criou a iniciativa Fevereiro Laranja em 2019.
